Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Alderstone Labs Inc. ("Alderstone Labs", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with our applications and website at alderstonelabs.com.

We take privacy seriously. Our products are designed from the ground up to keep your data on your device and under your control.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Our applications are built on a local-first architecture. We do not collect, transmit, or store on our servers:

• Personal information you enter into our apps (names, dates, financial details, account credentials, documents, or any other content)
• Usage analytics or behavioural telemetry
• Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to Alderstone Labs
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or fingerprints
• Location data

We operate no analytics infrastructure, advertising network, or third-party tracking of any kind.

2. Data Storage

All data you enter into our applications is stored locally on your device. Where iCloud sync is enabled by you, data is synchronized across your own devices via Apple's CloudKit service, subject to Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy. Your data in CloudKit is stored in your personal iCloud container and is not accessible to Alderstone Labs.

We have no access to your iCloud data. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. Encryption

Where our applications offer encrypted export or storage features, encryption is performed entirely on your device using strong cryptographic standards (AES-256-GCM). Alderstone Labs does not hold, escrow, or have any ability to recover your encryption keys or passwords. If you lose your password, your encrypted data cannot be recovered by us.

4. In-App Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively by Apple through the App Store. Alderstone Labs does not receive or store your payment card information. Apple's handling of payment data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and App Store Terms of Service.

For purchase records and receipts, Apple may provide Alderstone Labs with a transaction identifier and product identifier sufficient to validate entitlements. No personally identifying payment information is shared with us.

5. On-Device Intelligence Features

Some of our applications include features powered by on-device machine learning, including Apple Intelligence where available. These features operate entirely on your device. No data is sent to Alderstone Labs or to any third-party AI service in connection with these features.

6. Website

Our website at alderstonelabs.com is a static informational site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (including IP addresses and user agent strings) as part of providing hosting and security services, in accordance with Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Alderstone Labs does not place cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts on this website.

7. Contact Inquiries

If you contact us by email at info@alderstonelabs.com, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your contact information with third parties.

8. Children's Privacy

Our applications and website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Your Rights (Canadian Residents)

As a Canadian resident, you have rights under applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario's privacy laws. Because we do not collect personal information in the ordinary course of operating our applications, most of these rights will apply primarily to any information you have provided to us directly (such as through email contact).

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@alderstonelabs.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of our applications or website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
